Replica of the 1878 canteen cover with thick Rock Island Arsenal serif ink US marking. This cover is appropriate for canteens issued late in the Indian Wars and into the Spanish American War, Best suited for the earliest 1878 corrugated canteens.
Cover set comes with one complete 100% 8 oz. khaki cotton duck cover with indelible ink marking and one complete wool lining.
