  • Condition: This book is a former school library book that is in acceptable condition. The covers are clean but worn with a split along the rear spine seam, exposure to corners, and small chips to the spine ends. "Beagles School Library/1936-37/No. 137" hand-written on the front blank page. This is the only library marking, and it appears it was not a book that could be checked out. Damage to the pages is limited to a few small corner creases, a tear to the bottom margin of page 37, and a corner chip to page 147 (no loss of text). The pages have age-darkened a bit, and there is an occasional finger smudge. No cracks to interior hinges. Binding remains tight and square..
